Austin, Texas (November 12, 2015)

1825 Place in Pflugerville, TX just got greener. The multi-family development managed by Roscoe Properties is now home to a 51 kW solar photovoltaic (PV) system designed and installed by Circular Energy, an Austin, Texas-based provider of national clean energy solutions including solar power systems. This project marks the first solar powered multi-family property in Pflugerville as well as the first solar panel installation for Roscoe.

"We are very excited about the new solar installation at 1825 Place, and we look forward to working with Circular Energy in the future as more Roscoe Properties benefit from solar energy," said Kim Trigo, Community Manager with Roscoe.

Under the Citys Climate Protection Plan, Austin has committed to producing 35% of local power requirements using renewable resources like solar energy by 2020. Roscoe Properties is the latest property management firm to take part in the energy renaissance that is sweeping across the metro-Austin area.

Over 200 solar panels now cover the roof of 1825 Place, generating over 69,000 kilowatt-hours (kWh) per year, which is enough electricity to cover approximately 30% of the complexs annual power needs.

"Circular Energys solar power installation for Roscoe Properties illustrates a growing trend of multi-family properties that are going solar to lock in low, affordable energy rates. It also allows them an opportunity to connect with the growing number of millennials that are moving to the metro-Austin area," said Walter Rumpf, Marketing Director of Circular Energy.

According to Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) data, Texas installed 129 MW of solar electric capacity in 2014, ranking it eighth nationally. That figure is expected to more than double in 2015.

The new solar panels installed at 1825 Place will allow for an annual carbon offset of 48 tons of CO2, which is equivalent to 39 acres of forests cleaning the air for 1 year. Circular Energy expects the system to produce over $142,000 in cumulative energy savings over the next 25 years.

1825 Place Apartments combine the affordability of north Austin with numerous apartment layouts and community amenities to deliver the perfect apartment home experience. The premier Pflugerville location offers access to entertainment and the finest in shopping and dining - All just minutes from the action and culture in downtown Austin.
