skytron energy gains foothold in Japanese market with 20 MW win
Meet skytron energy at PV Expo in Tokyo on March 3, 2016 at session PV-8
Tokyo, Japan - March 1, 2016: skytron® energy today announced that it was chosen to provide monitoring and supervision for approximately 20 megawatts (MW) of photovoltaic (PV) solar power plants in Japan. The projects include power plants developed by First Solar Japan, Sybac Solar, IBC SOLAR, YKD, and Nippon Solar Services; all of which are scheduled to be connected to the grid by the end of March 2016.
"After having installed skytron energys state-of-the-art technology in our PV plants last year, we are now looking forward to working together again on our utility-scale solar projects constructed and commissioned in the course of 2016-2017," said Olivier Renon, CEO of Nippon Solar Services, a Tokyo-based independent power producer. skytron energy has already been providing monitoring technology for two Nippon Solar plants near Tokyo since 2015.
All selected plants will be equipped with the SCADA software, PVGuard®, which is the heart of skytron energys monitoring system. It allows plant operators to have a complete overview of all relevant plant data in real time. Integrated weather sensors in a plants communication network enable the measurement of a variety of environmental data to ensure optimal plant performance and maximized revenue. For investors with a portfolio of power plants, information is made available and accessible via a single digital platform, which increases the efficiency of remote supervision. The multi-site and multi-vendor SCADA Platform is also available in the Japanese language.
"As an international developer and system integrator, Sybac Solar stands for high quality and reasonable pricing. Our decision to use skytron energy for our large scale photovoltaic projects in Japan was based on their high quality products," said Daniel Ohletz, Member of the Board at Sybac Solar Japan EPC KK. skytron energy will equip a 2.6 MW plant by Sybac Solar in the Prefecture Kagoshima.
On the occasion of the PV expo 2016 in Tokyo, skytron energy will showcase its latest power plant monitoring and real-time supervision technology for the Japanese market. Lino Garcia, Director of Business Development and Sales, will be holding a presentation on March 3, 2016 at session PV-8.
