The countdown has begun; UK Marine Energy Conference is less than a month away. On Tuesday 5th July, the conference will bring together those at the forefront of wave & tidal technology within the UK and Ireland. This event will focus on accelerating marine energy as a viable energy alternative and maintaining the UK & Irelands position as a leader of this emerging market.

Speaker & Moderator Line-up

UK Marine Energy Conference boasts an exciting speaker line-up. The opening session will consider policy projections with a presentation from the Scottish Government, and marine planning and licensing from the conferences sponsor Ashfords LLP.

There will also be case studies on the UKs latest projects from MeyGen, Minesto, OpenHydro and Marine Power Systems Ltd to technology insights from Sustainable Marine Energy Ltd and FloWave TT.

Whilst the conference is the perfect chance to catch up with the latest technology and projects, it also offers an opportunity to identify the key issues facing the industry and possible solutions. From marine robotics by National Oceanography Centre and studies on community engagement strategies from the University of Edinburgh to a hard-hitting industry analysis from Peter Fraenkel, co-founder of Marine Current Turbines Ltd.

This one-day conference will be hosted by industry experts, Dr Gordon Dalton Lead Co-ordinator of the Maribe H2020 Project and Professor Stephen Salter Emeritus Professor of Engineering Design, University of Edinburgh.
