Natural Power France is set to attend Colloque National Eolien

Natural Power France is set to attend Colloque National Eolien 2016, the key wind power conference in France, which takes place on Wednesday 14th September at Parc Floral in Paris.

Exhibiting at stand B23, the team will be on hand to meet with visitors at the conference, which is the seventh national symposium on wind power in France, titled: ‘Wind power pioneer of the industrial and social revolution.

Marion Le Doeuff, Natural Powers Project Delivery Manager in Nantes will be presenting ‘A diagnostic tool for assessing turbine power performance as part of the Innovative Pitches session which takes place between 15.15hrs - 16.45hrs. Marion will share information about Natural Powers new tool that identifies the root causes of turbine underperformance and creates targeted maintenance campaigns that are designed to efficiently lower your levelised cost of energy.

She said: "This top-down approach is more cost-efficient than industry standard methods that involve data mining large volumes of SCADA data to identify underperformance. Our state-of-the-art technology and algorithms, combined with knowledge and expertise, enables us to develop wind farm specific multi-dimensional power curves accounting for complex wind flow conditions. From here, our total energy management toolset can detect the most subtle of changes in turbine performance and quickly identify the cause, whether its a component degradation or yaw misalignment. This comprehensive analysis will allow maintenance teams to effectively prioritise substantial power performance improvements across a fleet."

Colloque National Eolien is an annual event that provides the opportunity for wind energy professionals to learn about technical and regulatory developments in their industry, as well as discussing the economic and ecological future of France and the planet, and to help promote the positive benefits brought about by the wind energy industry.
