EM-Power: The new platform for intelligent energy use will join the Intersolar and ees Europe exhibitions in Munich

New energy exhibition focuses on intelligent energy use in industry and buildings

Munich, June 6, 2017 - From passive energy purchasers dependent on monopolies to important stakeholders: The new energy world will see consumers become prosumers who also produce their own energy. With the transformation of the energy industry and the resultant digitalization and decentralization, the need for smart solutions which connect and optimize generation and energy use is growing. Reason enough for the organizers of Intersolar and ees Europe, Solar Promotion GmbH, Pforzheim and Freiburg Wirtschaft Touristik und Messe GmbH & Co. KG (FWTM) to set up a new industry event together with the Messe München GmbH: EM-Power. The future platform for intelligent energy use in industry and building will get underway for the very first time from June 20-22, 2018 in Munich. Intersolar, ees, and Power2Drive Europe, the new exhibition for e-mobility and charging infrastructure, will all be taking place parallel to EM-Power. Beginning in 2018, visitors and exhibitors will be able to experience four leading energy exhibitions at a single site under the new umbrella brand The smarter E Europe.

The worldwide energy market is undergoing dynamic change. In the future, large-scale, centralized, nuclear or fossil fuel power stations will recede further into the background, while the significance of decentralized, renewable energy plants, storage devices and consumers acting as prosumers continues to grow. This transformation sees the focus increasingly shifting to renewable and efficient energy technologies, load flexibility and smart energy management - a development that takes center stage at the new EM-Power exhibition. The exhibition is set to take place for the first time in Munich in 2018, in parallel with the other The smarter E events.

From efficient energy technologies to smart control systems
EM-Power is the new exhibition for intelligent energy use in industry and buildings. It is directed towards energy managers, planners and consultants from industry, the real estate sector and local authorities who are searching for sustainable, safe and cost-effective solutions for their buildings and plants - ranging from production plants, hotels and food service to infrastructure installations, hospitals and care facilities. EM-Power is the first exhibition in Germany to focus on energy customers and their need for smart solutions - including efficient energy technologies, smart control systems, energy saving and energy services as well as key technologies for the energy transition in industry and buildings. To meet this demand, EM-Power is presenting renewable and efficient energy technologies, smart energy management and services as well as operator models which are crucial for prosumers.

Altogether, this makes EM-Power a valuable addition to Messe Münchens successful event portfolio, putting it in a position to tackle a vital topic for the future with its own, specialized platform.

The smarter E: Brought together under one roof
With the new EM-Power and Power2Drive events as well as the Intersolar and ees Europe, around 50,000 visitors from 165 countries and 1,200 exhibitors are expected to attend the four energy exhibitions held under the umbrella of The smarter E in 2018. For the organizers of the exhibitions, Solar Promotion and FWTM, EM-Power is an important addition, as it specifically addresses the topic of intelligent energy use in the future.

EM-Power and the parallel events will all be taking place under the umbrella of The smarter E from June 20-22, 2018 at the Messe München.
