Workshop on off-grid energy supply being held in Bavaria for the fifth time.

Memmingen, 03.07.2017. On 28 and 29 September the Stadthalle in the Bavarian city of Memmingen is the venue for lectures and interactive events relating to new developments in off-grid power and water supply. Around 450 participants from the international off-grid sector are expected to attend the workshop and accompanying exhibition. The programme is in German and English, with simultaneous translation of all lectures. For the first time at this workshop, which has been held every two years since 2011, there will be a forum dealing with the subject of water and auctions of off-grid components.

From Tech-Day to Rodeo Competition

The international speakers will be providing an overview of current market situations, presenting innovations in the field of generators and storage units, explaining new business models and monitoring concepts, and also discussing the necessity for subsidies. Interaction and entertainment is ensured: while the participants are learning about how to set up a stand-alone system in the five "Hands on Off-Grid" installation workshops, they also have the opportunity to present their own projects at the Speakers Corner. The peripheral programme offers a rodeo competition, the presentation of the Off-Grid Experts Awards with a live performance by Playmobeat and an Awards Party.

At the exhibition, over 40 manufacturers, system integrators and institutions from all over the world will be presenting their new products for off-grid energy supply in developing countries and the leisure sector. The day before the exhibition, the Tech-Day includes product training seminars held by manufacturers such as Steca, Studer, Victron and Morningstar.
