Eland Cables, the global supplier of power, data, control and instrumentation cables and cable accessories, is celebrating another stellar year. With a 20 per cent increase in revenue forecast for 2017, the company is set to continue its double-digit sales growth for a third year running.
Global sales have been fuelled by growing demand for quality, compliant cables, with Eland Cables' broad portfolio of products being used on high-profile projects across a range of industries, including automation, construction, rail and renewable energy.
Jean-Sebastién Pelland, Director at Eland Cables, says: "We continue to be one of the fastest growing companies in our industry, driven by an appetite for our world-class cable solutions, underlined by our commitment to quality and service. Many of the industries we work in are heavily regulated, and cable buyers are becoming more discerning in their choice of supplier."
Quality and compliance have formed the cornerstone of Eland Cables' business and led them to establish The Cable Lab®, an in-house cable testing facility recognised as a centre of technical excellence and accredited by UKAS to ISO17025.
Already holding the BSI RoHS Trusted Kitemark, the latest development for the facility has seen a further seven-figure sum invested to expand its testing capabilities. The result is a wider range of tests to more British and international standards. In addition to the testing for Quality Assurance on Eland Cables' own product portfolio, this focus on standard and regulatory compliance has also resulted in increased demand for analysis of third-party cables.
Jean-Sebastién adds: "The Cable Lab® is an important part of our commitment to customer service and goes a long way to assuring clients that our cables are up to the demands of their application, meeting internationally-recognised standards, and guaranteeing compliance with increasingly stringent regulations. Not only does it give our clients confidence but importantly it helps raise the bar for quality across the industry."
Strong sales growth has also seen Eland Cables invested substantially in its workforce. The company has increased its headcount by 15 per cent over the last 12 months, with appointments spanning all departments, from operations up to senior management.
