Delta Energy and Environment growth fuels German expansion

Specialist research and consultancy firm continues its rapid global growth with hire of German industry veteran, Götz Fischbeck

Delta-ee (energy and environment), the specialist distributed energy and heat research and consulting company, has hired Frankfurt-based Götz Fischbeck as its new head of business development for Central Europe. The move builds on the companys formidable growth rate of 25 per cent per year and bolsters its global credentials.

Founded in Edinburgh in 2003 by directors Michael Brown and John Slowe (later joined by director Andy Bradley in 2010), Delta-ee has grown to a team of nearly 40 across Scotland, England, the Netherlands and now Germany. The latest appointment is instrumental in Delta-ee expanding its Central European client base and building an industry-leading analyst team in Germany.

"When we started Delta-ee in Edinburgh in 2003, we were a relatively niche company," says Michael Brown, Director, Delta-ee. "Not anymore. We operate from three regions now, and regularly advise industry and government clients at a national, European and international level - and we still have ambitious plans. Organisations everywhere are grappling with the transition from the old energy world to the new and we can help. Adding Götz to the team is a springboard into Central Europe and a fantastic next step to continue our growth trajectory."

From his base in Frankfurt, Mr. Fischbeck will be responsible for business development in German speaking countries and joins with 16 years experience in financial services and energy, most recently as head of his own advisory firm Smart Solar Consulting. Besides his insights into the solar market and technology, he has developed considerable expertise on solar in conjunction with storage technologies - a key component of increasingly decentralised energy systems.

Mr. Fischbeck comments: "I was attracted to Delta-ee for two reasons. I was very clear that I wanted to continue working in the renewable sector and be part of the transition to a clean energy future. I also wanted to work in a diverse team of truly motivated, highly-skilled individuals. When I found Delta-ee, it was clear to me that this was a company with a bright future that ticked all the boxes."

As a research and consulting company, Delta-ee provides clients with information, analysis, insight and advice in emerging distributed energy markets, helping them navigate the transformation of the energy system. Delta-ee will be attending European Utility Week in Amsterdam, October 3rd-5th.
