NRDC & Partners Show How Innovative Green Banks and Bonds Can Provide Major Boost and Help India Achieve its Ambitious Renewable Energy and Climate Goals
After a couple of years of hiatus the chapter is under new enthusiastic leadership. Spearheaded by new Chapter Leader, Elizabeth Kaiga (Director, Renewable Energy at CohnReznick) the chapter has begun programming with the support of an all new chapter team.
The IREC 3iAwards honor innovation, ingenuity and inspiration from the nation's best in both renewable energy and energy efficiency.
With a compelling pipeline of market opportunities presently existing in the United States, the Company is finalizing multiple agreements in prime US markets with major waste plastics and waste tire suppliers to acquire the rights to install pyrolysis systems on their facilities, which allow for the waste plastics and tires to be converted into alternative, low emission fuels such as diesel, and syngas, on their facilities.
Ballard's FCveloCity®-HD fuel cell module has successfully powered another urban tram, this one designed and built by Tangshan Railway Vehicle Co. Ltd. (TRC) in China's Hebei Province.
Government leaders, solar industry, customers to gather for milestone event
Our UNO-INK is a shelf stable electrocatalyst ink which allows you to focus on making a PEM and MEA instead of making an electrocatalyst. The Uno-Ink is stable for up to 6 months which means you can make a fully function PEM in 1 hour. You can finally focus on making a fuel cell without having to optimize catalyst ratios. Fabricating an MEA is now an art.
John Downey for Charlotte Business Journal: A Charlotte energy executive surveying the scene at the third day of the Energy Storage Association’s Annual Conference and Expo expressed satisfaction and a little surprise at the bustle and buzz the event produced. On a large scale, the conference put top storage developers and vendors together with power producers and systems operators looking for sparks. But there were interesting stories on a smaller scale as well. Here are a few of those quick shots:
A Guide to Security Requirements for Various Classes of IoT Devices and Systems
Polysilicon price surges notably as Chinese authorities imposed stricter control over imports by reviewing foreign polysilicon sources. The demand in China has intensified as Chinese wafer makers are utilizing production at full and expanding capacities intensively. Hence, with the enforcement underway, Chinese polysilicon suppliers could further hike the price as buyers are trying to secure enough polysilicon. As affected by the price rally in China, Taiwanese and Korean polysilicon makers take this advantage to increase their price significantly.
Strathcona Solar Initiatives completes rooftop photovoltaic system at marketing group in north Toronto; roof is leased by parent company Strathcona Energy Group for clean power generation under Feed-in-Tariff
2016 Plans and update The company has during the year initiated new plans to adapt not only to the changing environment of clean energy but also the pressures to obtain and manage projects which can provide profitability. Such plans being started
David Szondy for GizMag : Sea-based wind farms are becoming a common sight in many parts of the world, but why not floating solar power stations? Engineers at the Vienna University of Technology foresee a future where platforms 100 m (330 ft) long and covered with solar panels float on even heavy seas thanks to a new floatation system called Heliofloat. Still under development, Heliofloat uses flexible, open-bottom floats that are capable of standing up to rough seas that would destroy such a platform sitting on conventional tanks. Solar energy has a great potential for helping solve the world's energy problems, but among the factors hindering its general application is that suitable land is not always available. Relocating panels offshore could make for installations of incredible size and generating potential, but the seas isn't always a placid place. Even relatively calm areas can suddenly become tempests with waves that can pound a floating platform to kindling in a matter of minutes. Cont'd...
UNIVERSITY OF EDINBURGH REVEALS LOW CARBON BREAKTHROUGH IN PRODUCING HIGH PURITY HYDROGEN FROM COAL-LIKE MATERIALS
Research finds way of improving ultrapure hydrogen production yield and reducing energy consumption for carbon capture and compression Hydrogen production yields will increase greatly thanks to CO2 removal step, whilst auxiliary power consumption costs reduce
