Clean battery developer EnZinc was awarded $450,000 to commercialize its rechargeable zinc batteries. Its zinc anode gives batteries three times the energy and double the lifespan of lead-acid batteries at a lower cost, is totally recyclable, and safer than either lead- or lithium-based batteries.
