The rise of clean energy is creating a supply crunch for a little-known resource - cobalt.
Ecotech Institute, the nations first and only college focused entirely on clean and renewable energy, today announced that its Campus President Chris Gorrie was recently featured on ReNewable Now Radio. During the hour-long live broadcast, Gorrie underscored Ecotech Institutes role in training skilled professionals to meet the growing demand from the renewable energy jobs market.
The US Patent Office has granted Pegasus Solar™ a patent for residential solar panel clamps that make the mounting process faster and easier than ever. This is the third patent Pegasus has received for innovations to residential solar mounting systems.

• More than 50 different module models are evaluated in this years PV Module Reliability Scorecard • Report identifies 20 high performing manufacturers, including several first-time manufacturers in the "high performers" ranking • Modules included in the tests were produced in 10 different countries, reflecting the global deployment of manufacturing
Multi-crystalline module suppliers in dilemma as turning into losses due to irrational price surge in the upstream. As the module prices were fixed in the contracts that were signed earlier, the suppliers had no room to raise their prices along with upstream components and have to suffer from losses at their own costs. Meanwhile, since module manufacturers did not prepare enough stock to meet the shipment deadline by June 30th, they are forced to accept the price hike due to looming shipment deadline. Solar panel prices in China has stabilized in RMB term, but slightly improved in USD term due to appreciation of RMB. However, the situation has became even harsher for module producers while bidding prices kept renewing the lowest record in overseas markets, especially in the emerging countries.
The Intersolar AWARD is celebrating its anniversary: For the tenth time running, the panel was asked to evaluate a large number of submissions.
TS4-M and TS4-S now included in the solar industrys highest powered single module optimizer solution for modules up to 475W
SMUD Forecasts Customer DER Adoption in First-of-Kind Holistic Utility Analysis
Clear coating developed for the military has incredible potential for solar, wind and other alternative sources of energy.
Traditional hydrophobic coatings are clear and abrasion resistant but do not shed fluid easily. Superhydrophobic coatings are generally great at shedding water but are not clear, and are easily removed. Whether its abrasion resistance, oil repellency or visual clarity, conventional coatings have their limitations.
Developed and supported by a broad coalition of energy advocates across the United States, the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) and Vote Solar released a set of principles today intended to help guide and unify future state-level solar rate advocacy work.
Domestically-produced panels supported by legacy of quality manufacturing
The Ku Module portfolio uses Canadian Solar's proprietary black silicon cell technology. The black silicon cell efficiency exceeds that of the current standard poly cells in the market.

Stat-X® condensed aerosol fire suppression is a solution for energy storage systems (ESS) and battery energy storage systems (BESS) applications. Our Stat-X condensed aerosol fire extinguishing product was tested for efficacy in suppressing li-ion battery fires. It was found that the product successfully extinguished single and double cell battery fires. This testing was conducted in parallel with a large battery fire testing program on behalf of a large energy storage company.
