Tell us about your company.
RBI Solar designs, engineers, manufactures, and installs solar mounting systems for commercial and utility scale solar projects. Your company will be exhibiting at SPI 2018, what is it that makes this an important event for your company?
We view SPI as one of the premier educational and networking opportunities in the solar industry. Beyond showcasing our products, our team on-site is eager to share RBI’s story and to see how we can help potential customers on their upcoming projects.
Highlight a 2 or 3 products you will be showcasing at the event?
Our GM-2 product is our fixed tilt ground mount solution. We deployed over 1 GW of GM-2 in 2017, making RBI the market leader in fixed-tilt ground mount.
Our CP-Tee will be on display, which is our standard carport offering. We completed over 40 canopy projects in 2017 and we have currently surpassed this in 2018.
The newest product we will be showing is the RS-VS Tilt. This flat roof solution can be utilized on a variety of surfaces and it comes in 5 and 10 degree tilt options.
SPI 2018 has many educational sessions & Demo’s, is your company involved in any of them this year?
We are not involved in any of the sessions but we will have several team members attending the sessions.
When you get a chance to walk the exhibit hall floor yourself, what is it you will be most interested to see? Any educational sessions you plan on attending?
We are always interested to see the new products out in the marketplace. Tradeshows are a great opportunity to find some future trends in the industry.
When you book a booth for a tradeshow like this what are your expectations and what does your company hope to accomplish at the event?
The main goal of tradeshows is to continue to grow the brand of the company. Large tradeshows like this allow for the opportunity to meet several current customers, as well as to engage with the new faces in the industry. We expect to broaden our network in the industry, and coming back with a few sales leads always makes the trip worth it!
A tradeshow of this magnitude is extremely busy and stressful for the staff of exhibiting companies. Any fun things or places your team can suggest in Anaheim to help unwind?
This will be the first time we are exhibiting in Anaheim, CA, so we are eager to find out ourselves. The Expo Hall is right across the street from Disneyland, so I imagine some Space Mountain will be a must.
