COTTONWOOD, AZ, September 30, 2006: Champion Indoors - a retail space supplying healthy home furnishings, unique fair trade items, and other sustainable products, is now open for business.

Located in a cheerful 1940's cottage on North Main Street in Old Town Cottonwood, the shop will also be home to the offices of Champion Indoor Environmental Services, LLC, a company providing indoor air and environmental quality assessments, healthy home consultations, and green building/remodeling consulting.

Owner, Stacey Champion, is a Certified Indoor Environmentalist (CIE), published writer, and national speaker. After founding Champion Indoor Environmental Services in 2005, Ms. Champion quickly saw a community need for a space which could not only supply people with healthy, sustainable products; but be a community hub for sustainable education as well. In fact, one room is dedicated entirely to just that, and features books available for purchase on topics such as: green building, alternative energy, whole foods, and sustainable development; as well as many free educational resources. Champion Indoors will also be hosting low-cost, monthly workshops for the community on a variety of environmental issues. Champion Indoors website (www.ChampionIndoors.com), which is currently in the process of being revamped, will offer online product sales, educational information and links, and a monthly online newsletter.

Ms. Champion states: "We have come to a point within our society - and world, where there is no time to wait until "tomorrow" to make the changes which must be made today. Whether it is making the choice to purchase a fair trade gift, or building a sustainable home; it begins with baby steps to assist in making the world a greener place for future generations."

Being no stranger to "future generations", Ms. Champion, who is expecting her third child at the end of this year, says: "Though it may seem idealistic; by the time my children are grown with children of their own, I would like to see building healthy, energy efficient, sustainable buildings be the norm versus a rarity. I would like to see a conscious shift in how we protect our water and care for not only our world, but all of us who share it." This thinking fits into Champion Indoors company motto: World change begins at home!
