EnerWorks residential solar water heating appliances were recently awarded the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (IAPMO) Uniform Solar Energy Code listing. Headquartered in Ontario, California, IAPMO has been protecting public health and safety for more than eighty years, working in concert with government and industry to implement comprehensive plumbing and mechanical systems around the world. EnerWorks residential solar water heating appliances were required to meet their rigorous codes and standards to achieve the certification.

The IAPMO Group provides code development assistance, education, and quality assurance programs, including the Uniform Solar Energy Code (USEC)® that regulates the use of solar energy in plumbing and mechanical systems. It applies to the building, installation, alteration, addition, repair, relocation, replacement and use or maintenance of solar systems. USEC® is intended to provide a safe and functional solar energy system with minimum regulations.
