SOUTH CAROLINA LEADERS GATHER AT STATEHOUSE TO WELCOME NATIONAL HYDROGEN ASSOCIATION AND PREVIEW NEW

State leaders from government, science, technology and business industries will welcome the National Hydrogen Association Conference on Tuesday, March 31, from 4-4:30 p.m. on the south steps of the SC Statehouse and discuss the importance of the hydrogen and fuel cells to our region and state.

A press event highlighting South Carolina's commitment to a becoming a leading center of excellence in hydrogen & fuel cell technology and will recognize the importance of the 2009 NHA Conference and Hydrogen Expo to the region. The event will be hosted by Speaker of the House Bobby Harrell and will feature Tom Mutchler of Air Products and Chemicals, Bill Mahoney of the South Carolina Research Authority and Elbert Malone of the South Carolina Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Alliance. There will be hydrogen powered vehicles on display, Daimler's new A-Class F-Cell and Hyundai - Kia's new Kia Borrego FCEV.
