CONSENSE LAUNCHES IN AMERICA WITH ONLINE COMMUNITY OUTREACH BUSINESS

UK based Consense has launched into the American market with a community outreach project for global renewable energy developer, Mainstream Renewable Power
Consense is the UK's leading provider of online community outreach programmes for the renewable energy sector. The first US project for Consense is Mainstream's 467MW Green River Wind Farm in Illinois (www.greenriverwindfarm.com). Consense will use its Open Debate system to engage stakeholders in plans for the wind farm using an inclusive and interactive tool for public outreach and education.
Mainstream (which has its North American headquarters in Chicago, IL) will invest more than $1.6 billion over the next four years in three wind farm developments in Lee, Bureau, Whiteside and Boone counties in Illinois. These wind farms have the potential to generate enough clean electricity to power 200,000 homes by 2013 and play a significant part in reaching the U.S. Department of Energy's target of 20% wind energy by 2030.
Adrian LaTrace, Mainstream's Chief Executive for North America, comments: "We have been working with Consense on our European projects and their extensive experience in running online outreach programmes for renewable energy schemes made them the natural choice for our US activity."
Consense specialises in community outreach websites to support renewable energy developers' planning applications. Consense is currently running over 70 community outreach websites across the UK to make community engagement accessible, interactive and auditable. The team at Consense also manages a variety of other outreach strategy and support activities such as political audits, public exhibitions, newsletters, advertising and PR.
The innovative system developed by Consense helps businesses in the renewables sector to involve more of the community in their proposals. At present Consense is running websites for over 14GW of proposed power - that is enough renewable energy to power over 7 million homes.

Vecoplan - Planning and implementation of complete processing plants in refuse derived fuel production

In order to reduce the costs involved in the energy-intensive production of cement, many manufacturers are turning to refuse-derived fuels (RDF), considerably reducing the proportion of expensive primary fuels they would normally use. Solid fuels are being increasingly used - these might be used tyres, waste wood or mixtures of plastics, paper, composite materials and textiles. Vecoplan provides operators of cement plants with proven and robust components for conveying the material and separating iron and impurities, efficient receiving stations, storage systems and, of course, efficient shredders for an output in various qualities.
