BERKELEY, Calif., June 9, 2015 -- Energy Storage North America (ESNA), the most influential gathering of policy, technology and market leaders in energy storage, is calling for nominations for the 2015 ESNA Innovation Awards for standout energy storage projects and champions. ESNA is seeking project nominees in three categories: Centralized Storage (utility-scale), Distributed Storage (commercial, industrial or residential) and Mobility (transportation, electric vehicles and enabling infrastructure).

Nominations are also being sought for the 2015 ESNA Champion Awards in two categories: Policy-maker and Utility. The ESNA Champion Awards honor the work of individuals within these key industry areas who have made exceptional contributions to the field of energy storage.

"The purpose of the ESNA Innovation and Champion Awards is to recognize people and projects that exemplify truly innovative energy storage leadership, planning, development and deployment," said Janice Lin, Managing Partner of Strategen Consulting and Conference Chair of ESNA 2015. The deadline for nominations is July 24th. Projects submitted must be commissioned no later than that same date. ESNA 2015 Innovation Award winners will be decided by public votes cast on Twitter and by the ESNA Advisory Board. Policy and Utility Champion nominees will be reviewed and winners determined by vote of the ESNA Advisory Board.

ESNA 2015 Innovation and Champion Award winners will be announced at the Energy Storage North America Conference in the San Diego Convention Center on October 14th, at the industry's largest gathering of energy storage business leaders, developers, technologists and dealmakers.
