Axess Group has signed a two-year frame agreement with Vestas Wind Systems A/S for the Enterprise of Competence (EoC) and annual inspection of all Vestas-operated wind farms in Norway.

The scope of work includes the inspection and certification of all the lifting equipment, using advanced non-destructive testing (NDT) methods and several in-house engineering disciplines. The contract also covers documentation review and evaluation of performed maintenance to better improve maintenance strategy and structural integrity.

Inspecting and monitoring the condition of the wind turbines are vital to ensure high performance and reduce safety risks.

Eirik Notsund, Axess Groups Client Manager Renewables said: "This contract is an important step for us towards gaining more opportunities within the rapidly developing renewable energy sector. It enables us to demonstrate our asset integrity management capabilities, and allows us to develop our competency within the wind energy industry."
