Queen Anne's County, MD – (February 25, 2013) Increasing energy costs, be they from electricity, propane or coal, has a major effect on a farm's bottom line. With electricity rates steadily increasing annually, it has become critical to a farm's future to do what it can to offset those costs. For Ferrell Farms in Queen Anne's County, MD, the answer is solar.
Among the many roadblocks that have prevented offshore wind farms from proliferating off the Atlantic coast is how to get the electricity generated from the Outer Continental Shelf to the mainland. A transmission “backbone” that would run under the ocean floor parallel to the coast is being proposed as a solution to that problem. The Atlantic Wind Connection, which counts Google Inc. among its corporate sponsors, seeks to connect up to 7,000 megawatts of offshore wind power to locations on land between northern New Jersey and southern Virginia. The backbone transmission line would allow many individual wind turbines to connect to it and then deliver that electricity to land through a handful of connections. The alternative would be aboveground individual lines from one or a handful of wind turbines, lines that typically operate at a lower capacity and present more environmental challenges. Earlier this year, Atlantic Wind Connection announced that the first phase of the project would be constructed off the New Jersey coast because of the state’s commitment to developing the industry, not to mention the electricity potential off the state’s southern shores.
This article is about the India Telecom Tower Industry. The issue with high operating cost + diesel pilferage in grid deficit and off-grid sites is unsustainable. Stake holders needs to move away from out dated diesel base power systems to more sustainable solar/hybrid systems.

For so many Californians who have chosen to install a solar electric system, the phrase Net Metering is simply a way of describing the way power from roof-top solar panels will reduce their own electric consumption and spin the meter backwards.
The Solar EZ Connect system was developed in collaboration with developers and installation contractors. The system is comprised of a fully wired harness that is ready to be installed right out of the box. This substantially reduces the high costs associated with hand assembly and routing of wiring in the field. The multiple strings of multi-panel arrays are easily assembled and run to the combiner boxes eliminating the need for certified labour.

Eliminate Solar Rack Ballast and Reduce Rooftop Material Handling. PowerGrip™ Universal (PGU) is a commercial roof mount system designed to secure solar racks and other equipment to any type of commercial roofing system. PGU provides a secure connection directly to the roof deck or structural members and is designed to reduce or eliminate ballast in solar racking systems, so there's less weight on the roof and less material handling. Made of heavy-duty cast aluminum, PGU units include a base ring which is secured through the roofing cover and into the structural roof deck, and a waterproof top plate.
