Study: Tidal energy can have significant importance to the Faroese grid

When commercialised, renewable energy from tidal streams will become a significant energy resource to balance other, unpredictable renewable energy sources. This is the preliminary result of studies made as a part of a PhD project on the energy balance and stability of the Faroese electrical system.

Impact of COVID-19 on renewable power generation market

The spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus) has led to mass production downtimes and supply chain problems in several industries, particularly in China, where the virus originated. However, major disruptions occur as other national authorities take action to contain or hamper the spread of the virus.

What is the Cheapest Form of Energy?

Cheap renewable energy and low-priced batteries are anticipated to lead to wind and solar producing 50 percent of the world's electricity generation by 2050.

Rhombus Energy Systems Releases White Paper on the Impact of Utility Grid Capacity on Electric Vehicle Fleets

Study explores approaches to ensuring adequate power availability for growing electric vehicle fleets given limitations in increasing the power from utility grids in the near term

EDF Renewables North America Partners with Cubic Corporation on Integrated Energy System

EDF Store & Forecast Energy Management System (EMS) will operate the solar and battery storage system to optimize utility bills savings. Solar reduces utility costs while the battery storage shifts the solar generation into the evening on-peak period of expensive power. The storage system will also be used to mitigate spikes in usage thereby lowering utility demand charges.
