Following the huge success of its second edition in 2014, which registered the participation of more than 200 delegates from 40 different countries worldwide, SUM 2016 - 3rd Symposium on Urban Mining will be held in the suggestive former Monastery of Saint Augustine in Bergamo's upper city, from 23rd to 25th of May 2016. Turboden's ORC unit will generate more than 6.5 MW of electricity, utilizing around 55,000 tonnes of waste timber wood from demolition sites as carbon neutral fuel, and it is expected to cut greenhouse emissions by approximately 12,700 tonnes of CO2e per year, the equivalent of taking 5,700 cars off the road for the life of the project.
