Not long after, the Estes brothers discovered the RT-REB, Roof Entry Bracket and found that it was the perfect solution for residential wire management. “RT-REB provides an extremely high level of security for wiring. It’s a roof-mounted pass-through box that lets us bring cables into the roof, and we have full confidence that it will never leak.”
Trip added that the RT-REB is ideal for synthetic slate roofs which are notoriously difficult to work with. “Most solar products won’t certify for use on synthetic slate as they haven’t been tested,” he said. “We contacted different solar vendors who couldn’t guarantee results, but Roof Tech has completed rigorous testing on the RT-REB and that fact made a big difference for us.”
Trip added that his team loves working with the RT-MINI. “We have a high degree of faith in the RT-MINI and have used it on many jobs over the years,” he said. “No other mounting product provides that high degree of protection and security.”
It’s important that installers follow the detailed instructions for using the RT-REB to achieve the maximum level of security for wire management, and Trip noted that Roof Tech’s manual for the RT-REB makes installation go more smoothly. “We always keep the RT-REB in our trailers so we’re ready to manage any challenges we encounter with wire management,” said Trip. “Whenever I have a job where the roof has an overhang, the RT-REB functions like a roof boot to create a secure, low-profile result that looks great.
