Since its establishment in 2008, Intersolar North America has become the most attended solar event and the premier networking platform for the North American solar industry. Co-located with SEMICON West, it takes place annually at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, California, the United States’ pioneering solar market. The event’s exhibition and conference both focus on the areas of photovoltaics, PV production technologies, energy storage and solar thermal technologies. Since being founded, Intersolar has become the most important industry platform for manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, service providers and partners of the global solar industry. A total of 521 exhibitors and about 18,000 trade visitors participated in Intersolar North America in 2015. The conference featured 47 sessions and 25 workshops with more than 220 speakers.

Based on last year’s success and the positive feedback received from industry and governments, Intersolar Europe together with the Alliance for Rural Electrification (ARE), the German Solar Association (BSW-Solar) and the conference organiser OTTI, join forces again this year and invite you to the 2nd Off-Grid Power Forum on 22.-24. June 2016 during the Intersolar Europe Trade Fair.
Those wanting to discover the international solar industry’s latest trends and hottest technologies should visit the "Innovation and Application Forum", where exhibitors showcase their innovations during 15-minute presentations. What’s more, experts from each company are on hand afterwards to give further information. Moreover, the AWARD finalists present their projects and innovations.
On all three exhibition days, industry experts will be informing about experience with production, sale, installation and application of batteries and energy storage systems. The topics range from technology and innovations to domestic and commercial storage solutions, the combination of decentralized storage units into swarms and the use of large-scale storage systems in the energy supply, as well as the combination of renewable energy and electromobility.
There are many potential synergies between renewable energy and e-mobility – such as using electric cars as storage devices for solar power. This and other clever solutions will be presented at the special exhibit E-Mobility & Renewable Energy. In hall B1, participants will showcase new vehicle concepts and innovative charging technologies.
Solar and smart – that’s the future of modern energy supply. Decentralized photovoltaics installations and battery storage systems for domestic power supply will be combined in intelligent networks providing balanced power to the public grid. The devices and communication technology needed for the integration of these elements – small and large electrical storage systems, intelligent transformers and virtual power plants – will be presented at Intersolar and ees North America 2016. Electric vehicles are also part of the power grid of the future, both as consumers and as energy storage devices.
ees North America is the industry hotspot for suppliers, manufacturers, distributors and users of stationary and mobile electrical energy storage solutions. Covering the entire value chain of innovative battery and energy storage technologies – from components and production to specific user application – ees, co-located with Intersolar North America, is the ideal platform for all stakeholders in the rapidly growing energy storage market.
The concentration of exhibits, programs and visitors is designed to create exciting and valuable synergies where critical challenges and future success drivers will be addressed by the PV manufacturing community. No other U.S. show has the high density of PV manufacturing exhibits, programs and visitors.
Six bus tours offer around 160 participants to experience first hand the manufacturing of electric cars at Tesla's factory in Fremont / CA.
NABCEP and Intersolar selected exhibiting companies to offer in-depth technical training workshops and hands-on product workshops.
