The First PV Connectors for Harsh Environmental Conditions

Requirements for operating electrical installations in ambient temperatures over 70°C or at altitudes higher than 6,500 feet differ from the requirements for standard installations due to the different climate conditions.

Winter-ready SolarEdge PV System Set to Produce Over 80% of Wisconsin Manufacturer's Energy Needs

The rooftop array is comprised of 1,037 solar modules, each paired with SolarEdge Power Optimizers for maximum energy production at the site - despite challenging cold weather conditions typical to Wisconsin.

Recent Advancements in Nuclear Technology : an Overview

Many researchers claimed that smaller modular reactors (SMRs) are the way to address the existing issue with reactor designs. SMRs are designed to generate up to 300 MW of electric power, and the parts of the reactors can be easily broken down and transported to plants.

Solar-powered Solutions on the Farm: Purdue-affiliated Company Completes Microgrid for Crop Production Facility

Adding solar power with energy storage was the first step in the company's long-term vision of lowering its carbon footprint and using clean energy to power its operation.

From Fuel to Photovoltaics - How Photovoltaic Technology Can Be Used in Transport

In their current state, photovoltaics cannot generate the amount of energy needed to fully power electric vehicles like cars and buses. However, they will augment power needs, making batteries last longer and generating power for features such as air-conditioning.

Advances in the Conversion of Ocean/MSW Waste Plastic to Fuels

The conversion of plastic waste into fuel is beneficial for the global economy and environment. Plastic conversion to fuel has the potential to create almost 40,000 jobs.

2021 Top Article - Best Practices for Installing a Solar-Ready Low Slope Roof

When installing a solar array, having a coverboard as part of the roofing assembly is a best practice. As such, most manufacturers of solar mounts test and evaluate their mechanical attachment products with a coverboard over polyisocyanurate (polyiso) insulation.

2021 Top Article - Solar Wind Could Replace Solar Energy

As the solar wind streams toward Earth, it carries the Sun's magnetic field. Moving very fast, it hits into the Earth's magnetic field, causing a shock to our magnetic protection, which results in turbulence.
